I didn’t end up doing all that much for Post Jam “Jam” 9. I maybe spent one of the 14 days working on Routine Patrol. I still made a release. Version 0.2 had the minimum additional scope I wanted to add, but that’s it.
The feedback I got was higher quality because it was more specific. It also came from people who were not part of PSGJ15, so I got valuable insight into how people who weren’t expected to read the GDD would interact with the game. I definitely need something in the game that explains how to play it. I might make that a 0.2.1 before going on to versions 0.3+.
Post Jam has a review swap system. People review 5 other submissions, and in return 5 other submitters review their submission. Very useful. I’ve reviewed 4 out of 5 required games; the last one was only a Windows build. I’ll try to do it tomorrow with Wine.
I’m going on vacation this week and next. Last time I went on vacation I wrote every other day, because I was still trying to maintain the cadence on this blog that I started with. I dunno if I’ll write more or less than that during this trip. We’ll find out.
