I have had my highest performing post on LinkedIn ever in this past week. I simply said that all of the claims that nobody should learn to code in the year 2026 because AI is going to take over the job market for new entrants is basically as true as saying nobody should learn to read because LLMs can read faster than people and there is no “professional reader” job market.
Right now that post is at 5,855 impressions over the past week. I guess that’s what being a “thought leader” looks like. I kind of like it. I think I should do “thought leadership” more often.
I’m not linking to it directly here because I want to keep my LinkedIn clearly not connected to Starbase Zebra, as part of the general partitioning of my work life from the rest of my life.
